Drama is no stranger to the ruins of Pompeii. We are all familiar with the casts of people caught in their last moments as they were buried in hot ash following the eruption of Vesuvius in the late summer of 79 AD. But few people are aware of the drama of the actual geological event that spelled the people of Pompeii?s demise. Dana Hunter details it in her post, How Pompeii Perished.
