DVP Thornberg wins re-election for the 5th District Vice President

July 30, 2013 ? The IAFF entered into a voluntary agreement with the Department of Labor earlier this year, to conduct a re-election for the 5th District Vice President.

The results have been certified by the DOL as follows.

Thomas Thornberg 3,184 votes
Joseph Conway 2,722 votes

DVP Thornberg serves as the president of the Minnesota Professional Fire Fighters and has been a member of the Minneapolis Fire Department for over 28 years.

He has served on the IAFF Resolutions Committee, Minnesota Joint Fire Service Committee, Minnesota PSOB Board, the Minnesota Fire Safety Account Committee, and has been a delegate or alternate to every IAFF and MPFF convention since 1998. DVP Thornberg represents affiliates and members in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
